  8. Introduction
  9. ------------
  10. «AminetIdx» is a very powerfull and convenient tool for searching archives
  11. into the Aminet INDEX files and then making your shopping.
  12.  
  13. The index is loaded into memory and parsed to be displayed in order into
  14. directories and subdirectories and you can locate some archives that match
  15. a filter in all or part of the index.
  16. The filter applies on "File" and/or "Description", on "Age" using the
  17. presets or a special value.
  18.  
  19. Then you can mark some archives you want to download, they will be copied
  20. into a "Collect" window which contents can be saved as plain text, ftp-mail
  21. text, or even AmFTP batch text to be imported directly into AmFTP.

  23. At last, «AminetIdx» is freeware, but of course feel free to send me donations
  24. or gifts  >8-))

  29.  - support of 'MergeRec2.0' updated index files
  30.  - browser like toolbars
  31.  - displays informations about the index and the selection 
  32.  - displays dirs and subdirs in two separated lists
  33.  - filter on both 'Files' and/or 'Descriptions'
  34.  - filter on 'Age' with some helpfull presets
  35.  - sortable display of search results
  36.  - files to download can be marked to be collected
  37.  - export of collected files as Text, ftp-mail or AmFTP batch
  38.  - check if collected files already exists in the tree of the local
  39.    harddisk directory set in the settings

  49.  - Enough memory (according to size of the INDEX loaded)
